the first time i filled up a tank after getting my license i paid $.97 a gallon and thought it was going to break me. not long after that, the movie 'Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man' came out. in the opening scene, the prices listed at the gas station were 3.99 4.99 and 6.99 or something thereabouts. i thought 'holy cow!! gas could NEVER get that hi!!!' well, not too long ago, it was. and now we're all happy that we're not paying THAT price again and feel glad that its at only $2.

I am really old... I hear people rejoicing about gasoline prices falling back to like they were in the "good old days"... first, those days were not always good, and second, I recall the shock when gasoline went from 24 cents per gallon to 55 virtually overnight, and that was after I had been driving for 15 or so years.

What a coincidence. Gas has reached it's lowest level in 4 years about the same time my savings account reached it's lowest level in 30 years.

No matter what happens, let's keep conserving, acting as if gas was still $4 a gallon. Let's not go back to our lustful ways.

I can't help but wonder why gas prices vary so much from region to region. $1.50 in Atlanta and $1.75 in Boston. Let's keep prices low by conserving. It works!

Unfortunately, lower gas prices are taking the pressure off of our "representatives" to open up new areas for drilling. We'll all pay for their pandering to the enviros on this issue when global demand rises again and takes price up with it.

Yeah, let's make it the same level as gas was 10 years ago. I remember 90 cent gallons of gas. Let's hope groceries will follow suit.

Heard somewhere that gas prices will stall IF it hits $1.29 a gal. But I 'can live' with that price. Oil industries need to 'live within' their means and NOT be greedy!
